How Can Addiction To Crystal Methamphetamine Be Treated?

I have a friend he is 31 and has high blood pressure. He has also been addicted to crysta meth for atleast 5-10 years. Im concerned if this is causeing early health problems. Im also wondering what medication can be given ro him to help with the addiction and emotional withdrawls which make it so easy to continue getting high.

The treatment for Methamphetamine addiction involves detoxification over a period of 2-3 months.

Along with detoxification, he may need to an alternate drug to prevent craving for it.

This detoxification is not an easy process. It is necessary to get admitted into the rehabilitation center with 24 hours monitoring of symptoms for a long period.
