How Can Acidity Be Treated?

An adult male (age 38) is suffering from continued acidity for the past 1 week. He is contemplating taking antacid tablets, and has found on Google that two different medicine brands that are popular: Gelusil Tablets and Digene Tablets.The patient is interested in finding the one pill that will take least amount of time and minimum number of pills to immediately relieve him of his acidity.

Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Liquid antacids syrup medications what you have mentioned are no doubt effective but gives temporary relief most of the times.
It would be advisable for you to take medications like Rabiprazole or Famotidine for about a week, which would be effective in controlling acidity more effectively.
Also, you need to control your diet. You shouldn't consume foods which could cause gastric irritation such as spicy foods.
