Hi my 5 month old son was diagnosed with reflux on the 23rd March. He was put on zantac ( 2 weeks ) & losec till he gets better. however his still vomiting every feed. I have changed formulas & has now even started solids but he can t keep nothing down. His only put on 50grams since 23rd march. Im on a high priority list to see my paediatrician however 2 Dr s yesterday were not able to help me. Its a long time to be vomiting all meals, shouldn t the losac have worked by now? his had an ultra sound on tummy & had all came back good. Is this normal for reflux babies to be vomiting that much for that long ( 4 months )
The very first thing is to determine why he is vomiting:
- acid reflux by upper endoscopy
- food intolerance (should run food intolerance test)
- other pathologies related to GI tract (contrast CT-scan would be helpful).
If cannot manage to see his pediatrician, should go to ER and explain there that your baby is vomiting all the time aggravating recently to get priority and check immediately.
Try to raise his head when sleeping. He might be ingesting gas while feeding. Raise him up immediately after feeding until he burps. Give probiotics containing lactobacillus to help digestion.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Albana Sejdini,
