How Can Abdominal Pain And Bloating Be Treated?
Being unable to see my primary care doctor, I was directed by a nurse practitioner to take either Zantac or Pepcid AC for my bloating and excessive gas with pain in my abdomen. I do not have GERD or I don t believe an ulcer. Would Pepcid AC help my condition without causing any other problems? I do not take any other prescribed meds. I do try Gas X and Pepto Bismol when suffering with this problem. They don t seem to help. I ve had colon cancer in 1986 with a polyp removed without any chemo or radiation. Since then I have had adhesions removed as well.

It could be an acid peptic disease but chances of infection could be there. You can take the PPI (proton pump inhibitor) like tab Omeprazole and others and it may not cause any side effects, other condition and symptoms are not related with this, but it is worth trying the PPI.
