How Can A Wound On The Hand Be Treated?

my boyfriend accidently cut open his hand yesterday with a box cutter, we went to the hospital but they took way too long so he wanted to leave... he needed four stitches. Hes has it covered with a rexall wrap and hasnt took it off for more than 24 hours now and he wont let me look at it at all , could it be infected? I ve noticed that hes been kind of sleepy all day and now it is 2:30 am and he is sweating on his four head

Open wound always prone to infection if it needed stitching means have done immediately. Unless examination of the wound, it is difficult to say what it is. Please consult your physician immediately he will examine and treat you accordingly.
