How Can A Wound On The Foot Be Treated?

My daughter (52 years old) has been treating a wound on the top of her foot caused by a shoe rubbing her foot. Long story short, the wound doesn t want to heal. She thinks it has healed and puts the shoe back on and the wound reopens. She reports shooting pain in her foot from this injury. She has been attempting to treat it using natural remedies but with little effect. Any suggestions how to treat it with naturopathic means?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per your history, wound may be due to shoe, so change the shoe, use larger size. Keep it dry until it heals. You may require antibitic after consultation. Continue apply neosporin powder. Kindly do blood sugar level after consultation. Do regular dressing. Take care.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale
