How Can A Wound On The Back Be Treated?

My husband has a wound on his back that will not heal. He was bitten by a person that had liver cancer. Has been open for 8 years. Have tryed everything in my power to heal it. Went to dermatologist today. He wanted to operate without even doing a biopsy. I said no. Do biopsy first. Was I correct?

Definitively the wound won't have nothing to do with that bit and surely enough nothing with the liver cancer. The best thing you could do is take you husband checked by the dermatologist and have a biopsy just to check that everything is fine
