General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

A torn rotator cuff if mild will have to be treated with complete rest to the limb till complete healing, which may take 6 to 8 weeks. If the tear is marked, then surgery would be required. There are few types of surgery, depending on the type of the injury. Please do consult an Orthopedic surgeon who would do the necessary investigations and advise you on the management.

I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us in every time.
