How Can A Swollen Wrist Be Treated Apart From Applying Ice On It?

Hi Doctor, I fell walking my dog and landed very hard on my outstretched hands and knees. My left hand bore the brunt of the fall, especially my thumb and my wrist. The wrist is swollen and painful. I do not think anything is broken. I think it is just a bad sprain. I iced them when I got home, What more should I do?

Hi, I think you should take some pain killers and muscle relaxant also. If swelling and pain persists, better to get a xray done. Hope I have answered your question.
