How Can A Swollen Bump On The Foot Be Treated?

I have a swollen bump like area on the outside edge of my right foot and also one on my left foot though smaller. I have not been doing my usual walk/run routine since Feb hoping it would go away. It has not. There seems to be no rhyme or reason what makes it painful. Sometimes it hurts sometimes it does not. It is usually tender in the morning. but feels better after icing it. Now swelling is moving up a bit to under the ankle bone.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi welcome to the health care magic

You are having swelling in outside edge of foot

Hence it seems to be soft tissue swelling

Local part x ray or USG can be done for primary work up

I need to see image for giving more comment.. It can be Lipoma like Benign lesion

For detecting nature of lesion whether it is inflammatory, infective or tumour, FNAC or biopsy can be done

Take care

Hope your concern solved

Consult physician for examination and discuss all these
