How Can A Split In The Gums Be Treated?

I had a tooth pulled last week. I have a gap now in between my top right molar and the incisor. I also have a split gum from the molar to the incisor. The dentist rocked the tooth back and forth then lifted it out. Should I be concerned about the split gum line?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Yes, this should heal up in a couple weeks. If it does not then there may be infection or some other problem. If it does not heal up, then see your dentist for an evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
