How Can A Soft Tissue Mass In The Right Maxillary Sinus Be Treated?

I have just had a CT scan and my right maxillary sinus is filled about 2/3 with what he described as soft tissue. I have also been diagnosed with Trigeminal neuralgia - the dr put me on tegretol and said we would then deal with sinus in 3 weeks. What will need to be done with the soft tissue?

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The soft tissue mass needs to be seen in more details to exactly know the nature of the mass and then will be decided what to do with that. It would also depend on how much symptomatic is the mass. If it is a benign mass and does not hurt you a lot, it may be left untouched otherwise it may need complete removal. The nature can be known either by direct visualizing it or may need endoscopic vision depending on the site. Most of the soft tissues masses are benign and can be easily managed however its not always the case.
