How Can A Skin Cut On The Thumb Be Treated?

While preparing dinner I sliced my thumb and probably went down 2 layers, length close to 3/4 -- we cleaned it well and used septic to stop bleeding and triple anti-biotic ointment then bandaged -- have a flap of skin still attached -- have changed bandage again today(this happened at dinnertime last night) we soaked in warm water today with small amount of H2o2 to remove dried blood that septic turned brown and re-bandaged with triple antibiotic ointment -- flap of skin is still attached -- bleeding had stopped overnight but minimal bleeding after changing bandage and cleaning -- am I doing right things or do I need to see nurse or have stitches or even remove flap of skin ???

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. If the cut is deep then better to get it stitched for good approximation of edges for proper healing. If it is already 24 hours then no need to get stitched and you can follow daily dressing till it heals.
Thanks
