Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am at 5 weeks and 2 days from heart valve replacement surgery. Is it safe to sleep on my side now or should I wait it out until 6 weeks from surgery? Also, I have a large seroma above my right groin. I will be seeing my doctor and my cardiologist on 5/16, but was wondering what I could do to help the seroma be reabsorbed.
Slight compression at the seroma site will helps in resorption. You can sleep at the right side safely. If seroma persist, better to get it drained preferably under ultrasound guidance.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
