How Can A Scab On The Lower Leg Be Treated?

I had a scab on the side of my lower leg and it never hurt it was just red around it and one day I sat down and scraped it on the couch and the scab came off and it started bleeding. I noticed after it stopped bleeding there is a hole that s about 1-2 cm deep. It still doesn t hurt but it is still red around. I cleaned it out today with peroxide and it didn t burn at first but it did boil up. Then after I wiped it off and ran some more peroxide over it and let it sit for a couple minutes it stopped boiling up but it burned. What should I do, just let it run its course or should I go to hospital?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

It may get infected and cause more serious problem. Smart thing to do is to show it in the hospital, for faster recovery and better condition of the wound.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
