How Can A Rotator Cuff Injury Be Diagnosed?

I am on Coumadin ,Monday morning INR 3.2. Normal 2.5 - 3.5 mechanical aortic vlv. Must have been bitten 4 or 5 days ago. Showered two hours ago and saw the bruise which I saw at least 3-4 days ago and just thought I smacked it against something, Heavy equipment mechanic, then I noticed what appeared to be a single pimple in the center of the bruise. I felt like I torn a rotator cuff all week long. Is it too late or should I seek urgent or emergency care tonight or tomorrow morning?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Rotator cuff injury can be diagnosed by undertaking MRI scan. It is not an emergency procedure. However, you need to get it done at the earliest. Until then, you need to immobilize the joint and take analgesic medication. Do not apply anything and massage over the affected area. Kindly consult orthopedics with the report for clinical evaluation and appropriate management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
