Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i have a 7 mm renal calculus detected in lt kidney. it was diagnosed on 24th dec 2016 by ultasound. now its 2nd jan 17. i have been administerd with urimax since the first occurance. can i expect it to have reduced in size. is a surgical procedure required to take out the calculus. i have not experienced any pain after the first occurance.
I share your concern. 7 mm stone is very small which can expel out with hydrotherapy. I would advise you to take lots of fluids 5-7 liters a day, Since you are taking urimax which will also help in maintaining good urine flow.In my opinion surgical procedure is not required in your case as renal calculus is toll small and may expel out with good urine output. Maintain good hygiene to avoid Genitourinary tract infection.
Hope I could answer your question. Please feel free to ask for follow up question I will be happy to help you.
Best wishes, Dr. BR Hudda
