How Can A Pulled Groin Muscle Be Treated?

I pulled a groin muscle in my right leg while bowling. Had a lot of bruising from my groin to my knee. Also had bruising above the groin where I previously had a hernia repaired. Went to my regular Dr. and he said I may have torn some scar tissue where I had the original repair and that I have a small hernia. He referred me to a general surgeon for evaluation. He also said a small hernia is worse than a large one. what is your opinion.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

As a first step you can take analgesics like Tramadol or Diclofenac for pain relief. If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopedician and plan for an MRI scan.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
