How Can A Painful Wrist Fracture Be Treated?

I’ve broken my wrist once before. My wrist has been hurting pretty badly since I went to a trampoline park and injured it, it starting hurting way worse during a softball practice. It’s been swollen for about a week and a half now. It hurts to the touch, when I move it, and when I lift anything heavier than my phone. My pinky and ring finger will get numb and tingly all of the sudden and then stop and do it again off and on. My wrist aches all of the time. It is also popping when I move it in a certain direction. Should I go to my doctor? What would be the most probable explanation?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello a

You should go to a doctor and X-ray should be done to specifically identify the fractured carpal bones. Scaphoid fracture can lead to avascular necrosis. So according to the symptoms that you have, I think it is a hamate fracture.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
