How Can A Painful And Swollen Lymph Node In The Armpit Be Treated?

I am 37 years old male, I have protected sex which I used condom on 5, Aug. On 18 Aug , I was nervous I was infected hiv, I kept prodding my left and right armpit s lymph node for over 30 times within a few hours, I initially felt hurt when I pressed hard and deeply on lymph node, and I got mor nervous, So I kept doing it until was too late. I didn t know I hurt myself or not, I ended up making my lymph sore and swollen, I took some painkiller and now it feel better, the heat and swollen went down a lot. Today, I suddenly feel my hand and elbow were bit painful, when I press to my low part of palm, I feel somehow it was num and more painful, so as a few fingers and I suspected I had Rheumatoid arthritis, which I heard it was also result from hiv. Should I do 4 generation combo test and is it common ars has Rheumatoid arthritis? Thanks in advance

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Well, the symptoms occurred all of a sudden which can be due to muscular pain or improper sleeping posture can at times cause pain in fingers and arm.
So immediately jumping to your own diagnosis is not fine as it can simply raise your anxiety with no significant underlying cause.
So just relax first of all.
If you really doubt you can consult a Physician or an Emergency room and get a clinical checkup done.
If they would find any symptoms investigations will be advised accordingly.
Also excessive undue pressure on any part of body can cause inflammation and muscle pain and swelling.
So do not palpate your armpit as the axilliary lymph nodes are deeper enough to be easily palpable and if at all they are swollen it needs a professional expert to diagnose.
For now you can once try to take muscle relaxant and see if your arm pain improves.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Honey Arora
