How Can A Node On The Wind Pipe Be Treated?

I have a doctors appointment on Monday and I was ready information before hand. I have a large node on my right lobe and it is wrapping around my wind pipe. I am assume the doctor will do some type of surgery. How long are most out of work when they have this surgery.?

More details is required to know the exact nature of the disease and it would be much better if you attach a picture of your reports in follow up query. If the lesion is polyp or a benign condition it can be easily removed and it will be a relatively simple procedure. If the node is a cancerous one, the entire line of management will be different and complicated.
