I have a mitral valve prolapse as well as arthritis and osteopina - will this drug help me? I get knee and shin pains and sometimes my right leg gives out without warning. Will this drug help me and if so, is there a 10 mg.? I am an 84 year old female.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Have you undergone Echocardiography? ASO titer y antistreptolysin-o antibody? All needed to rule out RHD or IE. Secondly, osteopenia very common at your age. You can go for calcium plus vitamin D3 supplement and for knee pain NSAIDS will help.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. BarunBijoy Bhattacharjee
