How Can A Laceration On The Foreskin Be Treated?

Last week, a piece of skin peeled away from under my foreskin. It was really sore and stinging, especially when urinating. Started weeping pus like fluid. Last week went to sexual health centre, all tests came back all clear. Kept it clean with plain water and gentle cotton wool pads. Went to GP on Monday, precsribed 500mg Flucloxacillin tablets, Fucidin cream to put on sore area and Doublebase gel to cleanse sore area. Since then weeping has subsided a little, but still have to clean some discharge. GP said its not Balinitis. Just difficult to keep clean as when sore area is retracted under forskin, becomes very moist. Any information would be helpful, or do I just need to give it time to heal. How often should i clean the discharge from the area ?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The area is difficult to keep clean and dry as it gets moist due to sweating.
If you are diabetic it is still difficult and affects your sexual life, healing will take time and it will bleed or cause pain when erection happens due to scarring of the skin(depend on how wound heals in your case). If you have swelling over the part wrap it with pad and keep it against you body so the swelling subsided. Circumcision may eventually required at a later date if symptoms persists and affects your sexual life.

Hope I have answered your query.
