How Can A Haemorrhoid Be Treated?

I have a hemmoroid. I have not seen a physician about it. What kind of physician should I consult? My condition has caused pain and some bleeding when I have a bowel movement. I want to avoid pain and bleeding; I wonder whether using a Fleet enema would help by making my stool loose and soft.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear,my name is dr,Dorina Gurabardhi.I understand your concern.
Some advices that I can give to you are:
-Warm (but not hot) "sitz baths" are recommanded
-use over-the-counter creams or ointments made for hemorrhoid symptoms. 1% hydrocortisone cream on the skin outside the anus (not inside) can relieve itching.
-try putting a simple cold pack on the tender area for a few minutes to numb it and bring down the swelling.
-try a diet rich in high-fiber foods and with few processed foods.
Hope my answer was helpful,if you have any other question I will be glad to answer, thanks!
