How Can UTI And Dysuria Be Treated?

I am a 55 yo woman presents with classic UTI sxs. I have dysuria and frequency and had a normal exam. Urine is positive for leukocytes TNTC, RBC- 5-10, and many bacterial. I am allergic to sulfa drugs, write a prescription to treat me and Explain your choice(s).

Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Based on your history and laboratory findings of urine examination, it is evident that you are having infection of the urinary tract.
However, it would be ideal for you to get your urine culture and sensitivity test done to know the nature of organisms causing it and which antibiotics they are susceptible to, so that appropriate course of antibiotics can be instituted.
Also, since you are having dysuria, it would be better to get an ultrasound scan of the abdomen done to know if there is any abnormality causing it, so that it can be effectively treated.
Kindly consult Urologist with the report for clinical evaluation and appropriate management. Please inform the doctor about your allergy to sulfa drugs, so that it can be avoided during the course of the treatment.
