I had TB before 1o years and completely cured after six month treatment. four years ago i got a visa to Qatar and I had undergone a medical test before leaving my country (India). It was OK . After I reached in Qatar, there was again a medical test and I compelled to return because of TB SCAR. After returned to India, I consulted with two doctors and they said it is only TB scare and nothing to worry. May I know how long tb scar exists in my lungs. Now I got a chance to Abhu Dhabhi. Hello

T.B scar will remain as such for life long.It is generally in the form of fibrotic patches and calcifications. In natural course, infection heals by fibrosis and calcifications.
Amount of fibrosis and calcification depend upon severity of infection. It is a healed stage and doesn't require any treatment unless it compromises pulmonary functions.
Decortication(surgical removal of scar)can be done in severe cases.

Take Care
