How Can POTS Be Treated?

I have POTS and I am in a flareup right now. Mainly in bed or on the couch. My celexa was increased 6 days ago from 10mg to 20mg along with added florinef. I am having anxiety and some acid reflux as well. My question is, I am getting thumps in the center of my chest and sometimes throat. What is this? Anxiety related? Acid reflux related?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

This central chest thumps are mostly due to stress and anxiety. Acid reflux causes burning chest pain along with nausea, bloating etc. So better to consult psychiatrist and get done counselling sessions. Try to identify stressor in your life and start working on its solution. You may need anxiolytic drugs (propranolol and flunarizine combination) too. Don't worry, you will be alright with all these. Avoid stress and tension, be relax and calm.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
