How Can IBS Be Treated?

Hi I am taking peppermint capsules for IBS and they are working great. Can I take the capsules for a long time. Or is there a suggested time length. I am having no problems or side effects. I only take one capsule a day. I am a 61 year old female and besides IBS I am in great shape.Thank you for your help.

IBS is a chronic condition so cannot be treated completely but according to the symptoms. If peppermint is working for you then continue to use it for as much as you want because it does not have side effects. If at some point you have symptoms like constipation or diarrhea then you need to use other medicines accordingly.
