How Are Flea Bites Different From Bedbug Bites?

Hi, my question is what am I getting bit by? Fleas or bed bugs? I have small, red slightly itchy bites on my side and lower legs. No signs of bed bugs in bed, headboard, or nightstands. I don t travel. I do have 2 pets in the house. What s the difference between the bites of fleas compared to bed bugs?

Hi.
As per your case history, my treatment advice is -
1. Bed bugs bites are smaller in size while flea bites are larger in size.
2. Flea bites give more reddish lesions and has relatively less itching.
3. Flea bites usually affects open body parts while bug bites can cause lesions on abdomen and back also.
4. Treatment options are topical steroid, oral antibiotics taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Thanks.
