Hi my name is Chrystal G. I am 34 years old, married female, school nurse and have a 6 year old son in first grade for almost 2 weeks I have been having episodes of diarrhea and constipation. My stool has been smelling worse than usual and I have had 2 emesis episodes. Afebrile, increasingly worse malaise, increased flatuence, feeling of being bloated, stomach slightly distended, + bowel sounds all 4 quads. I noticed what sort of looked like a thin white worm maybe an inch long in a normal bowel movement a week and a half ago, but i figured it was a streak of mucous since I have had some mucous in stools, no blood, which I attributed to Vicoprofen 7.5/200mg that I have been taking TID since my cervical ablation 3 weeks ago. My genital area has not been itchy, but I've been more aware of feelings like increased sensitivity down there around my anus and vulva especially at night where I am waking more often at least 2-3 times q nightly. I also have been having sharp pains in my stomach all over, but it's more like pings that are very short in duration. This am I felt like there was a hair stuck in the back of my throat and that happened to me last Friday as well.

I am concerned that I have an intestinal parasite and that is what's causing me to feel so drained and miserable. I do not have pets except a freshwater aquarium with Bettas and Mollies. I do not always wear gloves when cleaning the tank and have had 2 Bettas and one Mollie die in the past month. One of the Bettas had a disended abdomen, but the 4 fish that are still alive show no signs of sickness. What do you think? Are there any OTC products or tests that I can purchase to confirm and/or treat? How might I determine what the most likely culprit is? What are your recommendations?
