Hi, my name is Chris and in April of 2013 I had a brain injury due to a fall. I was diagnosed with having a mild stroke. although the doctors couldn't determine if the stroke caused the fall or if the fall caused the stoke. In the fall, I cracked my skull, ruptured my left ear drum and broke the bone in my left ear. Also, due to the fall my brain is believed to have been shaken enough to cause some damage to my optic nerve. All other injuries healed themselves through the recovery time but I still have a loss of vision on my upper left quadrant of sight. Iv been to optometrist and the eyes structurally are fine and have done field tests through ophthalmologist to determine the severity of field loss. My eye sight has slowly re-gained some normalcy after a few weeks but has plateaued out and hasn't gotten any better in 2.5 years.
My question today is, will there ever be improvement or am I going to be this way for life? Are there any techniques, medicine or common practices I can incorporate into my everyday life to promote possibly the nerve re seeding itself to the brain fully? Thank you in advance for your advice!
