Hi, my 85 year old dad was in the hospital for pneumonia and released last night, (too early in my opinion). He had a catheter while in the hospital but not at home and now cannot urinate no matter how much he drinks. His bladder is full. He went back to the ER. today (the VA), they put a catheter in so he could pee, then sent him home. Isn't that just a short solution? Could he have more severe problems such as prostate, or could this be related to the antibiotics and pneumonia? I'm out of state so cannot be there to ask these questions with him.
