Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, i had a scope of my bladder done about two weeks ago and they took a few biopsies that didn't reveal much of anything but irritated tissue. two days after I called a told them that I was experiencing bladder pains and burning when I urinated. Azo was recommended since my insurance wouldn't cover the bladder pain med. After a few days I called again because it still burns when I urinate. She wanted to see me. did a UA and sent one out for culture. Culture revealed that I have a staph infection in my bladder. I just finished the antibiotics today, but it still burns when I pee. My concern is that I have never had a staph infection before and I heard that staph is the same as MRSA? So does that mean that I will always have staph in my system now? Because I have worked in the medical field as a CNA. There is no cure for MRSA. So does that mean that I am screwed now because a biopsy got me infected?
