Hi My 30 year old daughter has been taking a steroid inhaler daily for asthma for the last 10+ years. I want to know what the side effects are from using this for 10,20,30 years. She's convinced she needs it and doesn't consider alternatives or going without it. Almost like an addict. My brother had ashma very bad (worse than hers) when he was young and basicly outgrew it for the most part as he got older. Her doctor just keeps writing perscriptions without discussing alternatives. She doesn't know if she grew out of it. I am concerned about the possible sidde effects involving bones, dental,weight,muscles, reproductive, energy etc. She doesn't smoke or drink and eats pretty healthy but seems to be low energy and low motivation causing weigh gain and is pale.
