Hi I take 10 mg of ramapril for hypertension. My bp is within normal limits most of the time but I have spikes some days where it is v high eg 175/105. Would beta blockers control my bp better as I am aware there is some evidence for this. I am 48 years of age and generally fit and active. Last night I had a nose bleed which would not stop for 2 hours and ended up in a and e where my bp was 188/107. It stopped eventually and a and the staff in a and e we're not overly concerned re bp.Today it is 140/80.
Would be interested in your opinion as gp not too helpful with this.
