Hi,

I started a birth control pill a few months ago and about 5 weeks ago I was visiting family and was under a lot of stress as I was there visiting to see a dying family member. I was visiting for 3 1/2 weeks and became very forgetful about my pill for days and when I would remember id take a pill. I must have taken 4-5 pills total in that 3 1/2 weeks and had some spotting and a period that came sooner than expected. When I returned from my visit I began taking my pill daily and missed a couple days and got a period close to the time I was due... that period ended 9 days ago and 3 days ago I got another period!!

My family member died 2 weeks ago today and I have had extreme stress and anxiety since then.... could this irregular period be caused by the pill screw up, stress or both? I am seeing my doctor in one week for an exam and Pap to be safe.

I'm very anxious about this.. my family member just died of cervical cancer and now I'm nervous... any advice??
