Hi. I Myself Am A Medical Professional. I Have Been

Hi. I myself am a medical professional. I have been married for 22 years. Have had normal Pap smears since my 20’s. Only two sexual partners my entire life. One in my teens (he never had sex before either) and my husband. I recently had a Pap smear that showed ascus with HPV 16 positive. My husband, who is also a medical doctor and has had 2-3 lifetime partners states that he has not had an extra marital affair. Have you ever seen HPV be dormant and be activated in someone’s 40’s? This seems highly unlikely to me. I had a colposcopy and std eval which is still pending. If those come back normal can you suggest anything that might be helpful? Would you repeat HPV test to make sure it is not a lab error or a labeling error? I may be grasping here
