Hi, I just had a laparoscopic bilateral tubal ligation With a bilateral salpingectomy just a week ago ( 1/20/17 ) . My doctor had advised me two give it a week after surgery to have unprotected sex in case an egg was released before surgery. Now , given that I started my menstrual just a couple days before ( 1/17/17 ) which lasted only for four days .... I took his advise and waited for a week to pass to have unprotected sex ... My question is , can I still get pregnant given that its been only a week since my surgery and that I stopped taking my birth control pills the day of surgery. I know he told me to wait a week but my head is filled with worry . Please any info or advise will be greatly appreciated .
