Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I injured my foot in early January this year. It felt like I had broken a bone, tore muscles and ligaments. It swelled up and I couldn't walk on it. I did however drive myself to the doctor and partially started walking on it a few days later but with great pain. I have a high pain tolerance so no one thought it was that bad. The doctors just told me to get physio and see how it goes. Now 7 moths later it's still hurting and I can't run or wear high heels. I had a CT scan done last week and the report said this; There is an undisplaced fracture of the medial aspect of the cuboid at its articulation with the 4th toe metatarsal base. There was no significant displacement here. I can't see the doctor until next Wednesday so I don't know what I should be doing. Is it likely I will have to wear a boot? Is it unusual 7 months after the incident to be still showing a fracture? I've tried researching this but can't find a lot regarding my situation. All I can find is mainly stuff about people who've recently fractured this area. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
