Will CT Scan With Contrast Media Omnipaque 300 IV Not Work In Some Patients?

Hi, I have had several CTs of my neck where showing enlarged lymph nodes. They can be palpated then and now. Just in the last week a new CT was done with the contrast media Omnipaque 300 IV and the results says no enlarged lymph nodes. Can the contrast not work in some patients? I have had problems with other drugs not being absorbing in my system. Thank you for you time.

Hi,

No, contrast work for all people. It is not like other drugs. You can go for a second opinion with a radiologist for review.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Divya jannu, Emergency Medicine Specialist
