Hi. I have developed a slight tremor. Have noticed a deteriorating of my handwriting. The tremor is more of an annoyance but I am a dentist , 65y.o. (physically I would guess I am in my 50's ) and am concerned that this could become problematic. I plan on working for 5-7 more years.
I am guessing this is essential tremors as my father (age 100) also has this and I have had this developing through the years. I am taking 20 mg of levoxyl 81 mg ASA, simvastatin 20 mg. Also take between 1-2 gms niacin daily as I have a high Lp (a). I also take coQ-10 daily. I had 2 stents placed in my LAD about 17 years ago and have had zero problems since.
Is there a medication I can take to reduce the tremors but not affect my work in the dental office?
