Hi, I have been diagnosed with PCOS and have been getting irregular periods. My doctor gave me Clomid 50 mg, and I started taking it on the 3rd day of my period. After 5 days of being off of it, I started taking the Ovulation detection kit from Clearblue Easy. It told me that I was high fertility 2 weeks from the day I started the Clomid. It said high fertility for 4 days, then on the 5th day, it was peak fertility, or ovulation. This was day 21 of my cycle (from the day I started my period). My husband and I had sex every day, starting on the first day of high fertility, through the day after ovulation. I just took a pregnancy test yesterday, which was 11 days post ovulation, and it came back negative. Could this be too soon? How soon after ovulation should I be taking a pregnancy test? Also, if I ovulated but didn't get pregnant, should I be expecting a period, or do women with PCOS and irregular periods not get a period even if they ovulated?
