Hi. I had a barium swallow done on Friday. Over a period of about 3 weeks I have been having a pain in my mid esophagus. Then Wed I felt like everything was scrapping when it went down, had some what I would call wheezing sound could not "cough it up". Slowly, Wed and Thursday It hurt so bad I called the dr and he ordered the Barium Swallow for Friday morning. Received a call about an hour and a half afterward saying he needed to do an endoscopy saying there is a 2.5 cm spot of "and irregular mucosal area." I have attached a copy of the report. Endoscopy is tomorrow morning. Any ideas....there are way to many on the internet!
