Hi. I had a PICC line placed 4 days ago. On this 4th day I've had noticeable discomfort in my chest and especially when I bend my head forward or to the side. I took a chewable Pepto and it subsided greatly. It has come back within 3 hours. The on call Infusion nurse said she has never heard of this and to go to the ER before my next Infusion at 6am. 3 and a half hours away. I'm so hesitant to go because of the extra cost (I will be at the hospital at 930 this morning for bandage change) and how bad my back hurts (sitting or laying will be agony). I just had surgery twice in the last 3 weeks, once for a triple fusion and last week to try and clean the infection that I got from surgery. I'm not having shortness of breath and I can turn my head more without excess pain. Is this a normal complication for some and should I be okay to wait until I have to go this morning anyway? No swollen areas or redness. Thank you, Cesily Hill
