Hi, I am experiencing pain and swelling in my middle toe on 1 foot. Its been going on for about 4 months and I have have no known cause. Its worse if I wear slippers or go barefoot in the house. Since I already have severe bunions, I was thinking the movement and rotation of the big toe is probably causing secondary damage to my middle toe. The
pain is located in the joint connecting to the metatarsal, I think. The swelling is predominately on the bottom of my foot around the ball and base of the middle toe. Getting ready to contact my Dr. and was interested in if my hunch of the cause is correct.
