Hi, I Am 37 And Haven't Had Children Yet And

Hi,

I am 37 and haven't had children yet and am wanting to get pregnant, however I've just been diagnosed with Adenomyosis. My doctor (when I received the diagnosis after transvaginal ultrasound) just told me to take painkillers and anti inflammatories, I asked if it effects fertility and she just recommended I go and see an ob/gyn. I can't get in to see the ob/gyn for a couple of weeks and in the meantime I have unsuccessfully been trying to find answers to the following questions;
- How bad would adenomyosis have to be before an ob/gyn would recommend NOT trying because you will most likely have a ruptured uterous? 60% effected? 70%?...
- How is the extent of the existing damage assessed and is it accurate?

I understand it is common to miscarry due to the uterus muscles being scarred and not able to stretch. My husband and I are willing to try anyway but not if it would put my life at risk. Will tests be able to tell us at least rough percentage chances?.

Here is the result of my ultrasound:
The uterus is bulky and anteverted and measures 9.7 x 6.9 x 7.3cm (255cc). There is thickening of the anterior uterine myometrium which shows heterogenous echotexture, echogenicity favouring adenomyosis. No discrete mass. Endometrial thickness is 6.6mm. Ovaries appear normal. No adnexal mass or free fluid.
