Hi,

I am 27 years old and is diagnosed with Hypothyroid in Feb 2016. I m taking Eltroxin-25 and my TSH level is normal since then.
Before that my period was pretty regular and moderate. But from almost the same time this year, i m having pain in the 3rd and 4th day. Even the flow has become heavier and is lasting for 7-8 days.
I have already consulted a doctor and done a lower abdomen USG and everything is normal. But the pain is still there. This month i received the pain even on the 7th day.
Doctor has prescribed me birth control pill for regulating my cycle. But since i m not married yet, i m not sure if the pill is a good option.
Please let me know what can be the possible cause of this pain. And also please suggest if taking the pill is okay.
