Hi Dr. Rynne, Six Weeks A Go I Started Having

Hi Dr. Rynne,
Six weeks a go I started having severe pain in my left shoulder, radiating into my breast. I called and got into the Dr. and when I saw the Dr. my pain had roamed to my rt shoulder and into my hip and groin. I was told I had bursitis in my right hip., and also pain coming from my back. The Dr. gave me ibuprofen and gabapentin. I wasn't getting much relief with the pain, with the meds and ice and heat. She gave me hydrocodone, after one week on those I realized I wasn't sleeping, so I quit taking that and just used OTC Aleve. I am using a walker to get around the house because it hurts so much to walk, or get comfortable sitting or laying. I have to lay flat, not on my side like I'm use to. Icing my back seems to help, so I could have a pinched nerve back there.
Question:
what can I do to alleviate this pain? Without taking medicine, if possible
Should I try exercise or just lay & sit around all day.
Thanks Pat
