Hi. A Week Ago During School I Experienced Some Mild

Hi. A week ago during school I experienced some mild chest issues; I felt a pressure on upper chest, shortness of breath, etc. my doctor prescribed me an inhaler, due to he thought it was my childhood asthma reoccurring. I took the inhaler a few times and felt better so I blew it off. Today when I got home from school I started experiencing very sudden and sharp pains in the left side of my chest, difficulty breathing, shortness of breath, high heart rate, long pauses between breaths, as well as shakiness, and trembling; the pain was worse when I inhaled and got better when I exhaled. I thought it was a cramp at first so I tried stretching but the pain did not ease. It fluctuated for about an hour and a half and got worse and better depending on the position I was in, if I was walking, sitting, laying down, etc. I'm not experiencing anymore symptoms but I'm now feeling very weak. I'm nervous to sleep and don't know what step to take next. I called My mom (she's a nurse) and she thought it was a panic attack so I didn't go to the emergency room, but she suggested I go to the doctor first thing tomorrow. Do you have any idea what might be wrong? I have had a very relaxing and good week, I don't understand how it could have been a panic attack. I'm just really desperate and need something to ease my mind. Thank you in advance.
