Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello there, I am 29 year old female and a month ago came off 100 mgs. of methadone through a rehab facility. I spent 16 days in there with a bp of as high as 177/115 HR 145. They gave me Clonidine .2 mgs which brought it down to as low as 145/90 HR around 100. Since I've been home it's been running no higher than 150/110 and my heart rate is always high.... around 120. I recently went to my family doctor and they gave me the Clonidine .1 mgs 2 times a day. I have taken it today and just took my bp which is 102/68 HR 90. I have felt really sluggish today and just not right. My chest also kind of feels weird. What are the risks of low blood pressure and should I quit taking the Clonidine?
